It literally puts things into perspective. Compare the size of Central Park to the size of Venice or a village on the edge of a desert expanse.
Have fun checking these images out and perhaps create some of your own!

]]>"At first our view was from ground level," the sales lady told me. “For thousands of years we’d walk this amazing planet, exploring by foot the mountains, the rivers. Then came cars, planes and now satellites. With satellites, we have the extraordinary ability to literally look back at ourselves and the environments that sustain us." Today, the profusion of satellite images gives us a clear, detailed look of our diverse planet as never before seen.
The saleswoman told me the Company Name is InVisions and the Collection is Earthscapes.
Printed with actual NASA Satellite images, Earthscapes Clothing invites people to gaze at these amazing views of our planet and be inspired and uplifted by the beauty of these environments. In this way, they hope to create a catalyst for awareness, dialogue and awe of the incredible wonders of our world.
Earthscapes Clothing is made in California, USA, supporting local businesses and people. They also strive to be good stewards of Mother Earth by cutting, printing and sewing each garment so that there is little to no environmental waste. The final cherry on top was the interactive hang tag on every item that, when scanned with a phone, allowed me to virtually Travel on a fun and educational adventure to the exact location on Google Maps where the Image originates. How cool is that?
I was sold! I bought a dress and a pair of leggings that I love. They are perfect for any occasion from a walk in nature to a night out. I also enjoy the great conversations I have every time someone compliments me. Which happens a lot! I am so happy I found InVisions. Now it’s your turn.
That's because this huge and mysterious geologic formation is hard to spot from ground level, walking around on Earth.
It turns out that we really discovered this incredible bull's-eye in the sand only when we began sending humans into space. And we were able to learn even more about it from high resolution satellite images.
But even now that we've found it, scientists don't fully understand it.
The Eye of the Sahara, more formally known as the Richat structure, is in the western Sahara Desert in Mauritania. On the ground, it's about 25 miles across.
For a while, scientists did think that the Eye of the Sahara was an impact crater. But they didn't find enough melted rock to make that guess hold water. Current theories suggest a much more complicated story behind this incredible natural formation.
The main ring structure of the Eye is the eroded remains of what was once a dome of layers of Earth's crust.
Scientists still have questions about the Eye of the Sahara, but two Canadian geologists have a working theory about its origins.
They think that the Eye's formation began more than 100 million years ago, as the supercontinent Pangaea was ripped apart by plate tectonics and what are now Africa and South America were being torn away from each other.
Molten rock pushed up toward the surface but didn't make it all the way, creating a dome of rock layers, like a very large pimple. This also created fault lines circling and crossing the Eye. The molten rock also dissolved limestone near the center of the Eye, which collapsed to form a special type of rock called breccia.
A little after 100 million years ago, the Eye erupted violently. That collapsed the bubble partway, and erosion did the rest of the work to create the Eye of the Sahara that we know today. The rings are made of different types of rock that erode at different speeds. The paler circle near the center of the Eye is volcanic rock created during that explosion.
We have 2 designs that are located near the Sahara, showing the beauty of this area on our planet. One is from the Nearby Atlas Mountains, and the other is an ancient riverbed on the northern edge of the Sahara, near Ghadamis.

More than 1,000 Earth pictures were returned from V-2s between 1946 and 1950, from altitudes as high as 100 miles. The photos, showing huge expanses of the American southwest, appeared in newspapers and were scrutinized by scientists from the U.S. Weather Bureau. A few predictions as to where it all might lead: "Results of these tests now are pointing to a time when cameras may be mounted on guided missiles for scouting enemy territory in war, mapping inaccessible regions of the earth in peacetime, and even photographing cloud formations, storm fronts, and overcast areas over an entire continent in a few hours."
We've come a long way, with the new amazing satellites that can take pictures of the Earth in many different wavelengths and stunning clarity. Today, when millions of people watch pictures of the Earth from cameras in outer space every day, it seems a perfectly natural thing.

At the amazing Symbiosis Gathering this year, we especially enjoyed the collaborative painting zone and the artspace building it was housed in. A joy of collective discovery and play.
We've seen an explosion of Psychedelic and Visionary Art on T shirts just in the last 2 years. Adding color and dimension to the Dance floors all over. Wearing this Art takes it off of the walls and into an interactive 3D space, merging free expression of both the internal and external realities.
We've been showcasing the Art of Alex Grey, Carey Thompson, Mark Henson, Michael Green, Robert Venosa (to name a few) for many years, on our clothing line. It's been nice to see the creative efforts of many of the new visionary & psychedelic artists coming out on clothing as well.
Alex Grey Art on Clothing colorizes the dancefloor and adds an extra dimension of trippiness.

We took our trusty Prius out to Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument and it did pretty well, although we were not able to fully access some of the rougher roads....thought we might shake the car apart on the endless washboards of Hole in the Rock road, near Escalante. However, we were able to travel just fine on a number of dirt roads throughout the area, most notably Hells backbone, which started off in Boulder as a lovely dirt road meandering through Pinon pine stands. It was ...nice, but not awesome.....until just before the Amazing Bridge!
And on the other side......also droppng some 1600 feet.....

A big surprise is the Mens interest in our Leggings! We have had men rocking them, and in fact, at LIB Festival we actually outsold to Men vs. Women.
We are particularly happy with the Mens shirt fabric. It works better than our high expectations. It's wicking fabric works like a charm- keeping our customers (and myself) cool and dry under the most intense conditions.
Investing in Quality fabrics has paid off handsomely in the currency of all the smiles from our satisfied customers.
